The Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis postponed the matches of the Dhaka Premier League for an indefinite period due to political instability, said an official on Saturday.
The league was expected to resume after the Eid break on October 27.
CCDM on October 24 announced the revised fixtures after it had relegated Cricket Coaching School for arriving late for their match against Brothers Union on October 8.
‘We will try to resume the league if the political situation gets better and if there is no strike,’ said Jalal Yunus, chairman of the CCDM.
‘We wanted to resume the league as per schedule but everything could not go according to our plan. Hopefully it will get better allowing us to complete the league at the earliest,’ said Jalal.
