Twenty journalists, including Ershad Komal Khan of New Age, have got Dhaka Reporters Unity-Grameen Phone Reporting Award-2013. Each of the winners got Tk 75,000 provided by the Grameen Phone and a crst and certificate. The speaker of parliament, Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury, distributed the awards at a programme at Hotel Sonargaon in the city.Dhaka University vice-chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddiq, reporters unity president Shahed Chowdhury, general secretary Ilias Khan, former president M Shafiqul Karim, also the jury board chairman, and Grameen Phone head of corporate Tahmid Azizul Huq, among others addressed the programmes.
Ershad Komal Khan from New Age won the award under the category of environment and nature.
