Speakers at a programme in Sylhet on Monday said the Rotarians were playing a substantial role in assisting the underprivileged people and build up a healthy society basing on humanity and morality.
They were addressing a reception accorded to the USA Rotarians including Texas State Rotarian Club’s past district governor Zeneth Holland, Paul Gasel, its past president Raymond Blessingam and Texas State Hospital’s physiotherapist Craig Hansen.
The Jalalabad Rotary Club arranged the programme at the hall room of Jalalabad Pratibandi Punarbasan and Hospital on the city’s Manikpir Road in the afternoon.
Sylhet city mayor Ariful Haque Chowdhury addressed the programme as chief guest, with Jalalabad Rotary Club president Tofael Ahmed in the chair.
