Popular TV actor and model Monir Khan Shimul made a television commercial (TVC) of a mosquito coil, which later got an award in category of best TVC recently. Mime actor Nithor Mahbub performed in this TVC as a model.
But it’s not true story, it is the story of a TV play titled ‘Je Jole Agun Jwole.’ This play was made under the direction of Towfiq Newaz. He has also written its script from the adaptation of a story ‘Two Birds,’ written by US writer Richard Menton.
Shooting of this play was wrapped up last week. Monir Khan Shimul performed in lead role, while Nithor acted in a special role in this play.
While talking about to perform in this play Shimul told this correspondent, “Tawfiq is a good maker. He is very talent. I have enjoyed performing in this play. Nithor has also performed well.”
Nithor Mahbub shared his feelings by this way, “In fact, I performed in this play to keep request from its director. Earlier I had worked in some TVCs. It was my first experience to perform in a TVC of a TV play.”
It may be mentioned that Monir Khan Shimul is now giving more time to perform in faction plays. In last Eid festival, besides performing he gave direction of a play. He is also showing interest to make TV play now.
On the other hand, Nithor is popularly known as a mime actor. He has been passing busy time with mime acting.
Besides mime acting, he is also acting in TV and theatre plays. Recently he became model of a TVC of Pran sauce.
