The 23rd founding anniversary of Khulna University was observed on Monday in festive mood through different programmes. A colourful procession, headed by vice-chancellor Professor Fayekuzzaman, was brought out at 10:30am from Shibbari intersection under Sonadanga thana and it ended at the Hotel Royal intersection under Sadar thana of the city.Teachers, students, officials and employees of the university joined the procession.
The day’s programmes included blood grouping on the university Shaheed Minar premises, prayer session at the university mosque after zuhr prayer, a cultural function on the campus and candle lighting at the Katka memorial and Shaheed minar.
