A man died and another was critically injured falling from a vegetable- carrying truck on Dhaka-Barisal highway early Tuesday. The deceased was Rafikul Islam Bakul, 26, son of Abdur Razzak, and the injured was Abu Lice Mia, 20, son of Zamal Mia and also assistant of the truck.
Lice Mia said they were coming from Meherpur and fell on road from the truck after hitting the branch of a tree on the Dhaka-Barisal highway at about 1:40am.
Later they were taken to Sher-E-Bangla Medical College Hospital, Barisal where Bakul died at about 3:20am, he added.
