The final hearing on the maritime boundary dispute between Bangladesh and India will take place at the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) in The Hague in the second week of December.
“The final hearing will begin on December 9 and will continue until December 13,” a senior official of the foreign ministry told The Independent on Wednesday. After the hearing, the five-member court will fix the date to announce the verdict, and the verdict may be delivered some time in June,” the official said.
Bangladesh initiated the arbitral proceedings at the PCA on October 8, 2009.
