The National Board of Revenue (NBR) Saturday extended the deadline for submitting income tax return by another month up to December 31. NBR Chairman Ghulam Hossain said this at a programme in the city. This is the third time the NBR extended the deadline for submitting income tax return.
Ghulam Hossain said, the NBR has extended the income tax return submission deadline considering the taxpayers’ plea and e-TIN procedure.
For several years, the NBR is trying to bring more taxpayers under its fold through chalking out various programmes including countrywide tax fairs and other forms of campaign. “I hope the taxpayers will submit their income tax return by the time,” he said.
