Popular band Feedback plans to release its 11th album early
next year after 11 years of eclipse.
The band released its 10th album O2 in 2002.
Bandleader Foad Naser Babu, who is also the music composer and keyboardist of the band, said that the band has prepared ‘some very good tracks’ for the upcoming 11th album. ‘Recording of 10 new songs has already been done. But the title of the album is yet to be finalised,’ Babu told New Age.
The songs of the album have been written by Mahmud Khorshed, Gunjan Chowdhury and Saif. But there is no specific composer. ‘All the members of the band have contributions in music compositions. So, it’s not done by any individual. But the style of the band has been followed,’ Babu said.
‘Songs such as Mone hoy, Uri uri mon ta, E mon manena mana will be hit numbers in the new album,’ Babu hopes. He further said that the band plans to give release of the album online and in compact disc formats. ‘We are communicating with mobile phone operators for the digital release and also negotiating with a few reliable production houses for CD launching,’ said Babu.
Explaining the reason behind releasing the album after 11 years Babu said, ‘The slump trade in the music industry was the main reason and there were some internal problems as it takes a lot of effort and dedication for releasing a quality album. Moreover, the ongoing trend of piracy of audio albums discouraged us,’ Foad Naser Babu said.
In its journey of over 35 years, Feedback has produced 10 albums including Feedback, Ullas, Mela, Joar, Bangabda 1400, Deho Ghari, Bauliana, Anondo, Ei Shatabdir Feedback and O2. The band has created many popular numbers including songs like Mela, Aye din chirodin robey, Udashi, Moushumi, Kemon korey hai, Janala, Majhi and others.
The current lineup of the band includes Pearo Khan on percussion and vocal, Labu Rahman on guitar and vocal, Shahnur Rahman Lumin on vocal, Enam Elahi Tonty on drums and Foad Nasser Babu on keyboard.
