A woman was found dead in Karnaphuli third bridge area under the Bakolia police in Chittagong early Sunday. The deceased was identified as Nasrin Akther, 35, wife of Nazimul Islam of South Nimthol area under Patiya upazila in Chittagong. The Bakolia police assistant subinspectorm, Dulal Chandra, said a van driver of the area found the victim lying there with her mouth foaming.
He took her to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where the attending doctors declared her dead, the OC said.
Later police sent the body to the morgue for postmortem examination, the OC added.
