United Commercial Bank will be the official ticket-seller for the Asia Cup, which begins on February 25, aBangladesh Cricket Board official said on Monday.
Tickets for the first five matches at Fatullah will be priced at Tk 200 to Tk 8000, while tickets for the matches in Dhaka will go up to Tk 25,000.Online ticket sales will begin on February 22, and tickets will be available at selected UCB locations the day before the tournament starts.
Ticket will be sold at the Mirpur, Dhanmondhi, Basundhara and Bijoynagar branches in Dhaka and Pagla Bazar, Chachara and Narayanganj Sadar in Narayanganj. Ticket-buyers will need to collect vouchers for tickets before they can collect the tickets.
‘By opening a Ucash account, an account holder will get the voucher needed to collect the ticket,’ BCB marketing and commercial committee chairman Kazi Inam Ahmed said on Sunday
‘Tickets can only be collected after showing the voucher a day before the start of Asia Cup,’ said Inam.
UCB is also the ticket distributor for the current series between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
