Dhaka strode to a 46-run win over Dhaka Metro while the other two matches of the fifth round of the 15th National Cricket League petered out in draws on Sunday.
Earlier on Saturday, Sylhet registered a nine-wicket victory against Barisal at Barisal Divisional Stadium. Dhaka v Dhaka Metro Resuming on 10 without loss in Bogra, Dhaka were bundled out for 192 in their second innings to give Dhaka Metro a target of 189. Dhaka Metro’s Sharif Ullah (4-22) and Sohag Reza (3-40) shared seven wickets between them as Dhaka’s Nurul Hasan was unbeaten on 74.
In reply, Dhaka Metro were skittled out for 143 in their second innings to fall short by 46 runs with Shahadat Hossain picking up 3-53.
Chittagong v Rangpur
Away in Cox’s Bazar, Rangpur declared on 234-3 in their second innings to have an overall lead of 294 runs after starting the final day’s play on 143-2.
Chasing 294 for victory, Chittagong finished their second innings on 188-5 before stumps were drawn to signal the end of play.
Khulna v Rajshahi
Replying to Khulna’s first innings score of 274, Rajshahi began the day on 251-9.
The last-wicket pair of Rajshahi surprisingly added 76 runs before being all out for 327 to have a first innings lead of 53 runs.
Khulna were 113-3 in their second innings when the umpires called off play at Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium.
