Dhaka Division skipper Mohammad Sharif has been given a one-match suspension and players from both teams have been fined for the slow over-rate in Dhaka Division’s 46-run victory over Dhaka Metro in Bogra. Dhaka Division and Dhaka Metro combined to bowl 88.1 overs in 392 minutes on the last day, whereas under the playing guidelines they should have bowled 98 overs at four minutes per over during the time span.
‘We have suspended Sharif for one match,’ said match referee Ahsanullah.
‘‘Every players of the team was fined of Dhaka Division,’ he added.
‘Play was extended by the 48 minutes that were permitted by the playing condition,’ he added.
Dhaka Metro bowled just eight overs in the first hour of the fourth day and the teams slowed down at different stages throughout the day.
Dhaka Division scored 398 and 192, beating Dhaka Metro’s 401 and 143.
