Spinners ruled the proceedings on the second day of the Bangladesh Cricket League third round on Sunday as Enamul Haque Junior’s five-wicket haul helped Islami Bank East Zone in making a comeback against Prime Bank South Zone. Enamul grabbed 5-126 as East Zone dismissed South Zone for 376 runs before ending the day at 138-1. East Zone, who were 135 all out in the first innings, still trail their opponents by 103 runs.
In the other match, left-arm spinner Elias Sunny and off-spinner Mahmudullah shared seven wickets between them as Central Zone restricted BCB North to 457 runs in their first innings.
Central Zone were 116-3 in 30.5 overs when the stumps were drawn for the second day, trailing by 341 runs on the first innings.

Out-of-form Nasir Hossain missed an opportunity of regaining some of his lost touch by scoring just 38 after resuming his innings on 11.
Elias Sunny continued to trouble the batsmen and scalped Nasir before Tanvir Haider added 81 runs with Farhad Reza for the sixth wicket.
Tanvir was the last man out scoring 66 having missed his third consecutive first-class century.
Tanvir, who scored two centuries in his last two National Cricket League matches, fell to Mahmudullah after
facing 187 balls and hitting six fours.
Mahmudullah picked up 3-127, providing a valuable support to Sunny, who finished with 4-111.
Central Zone made 116-3 with Shamsur Rahman remaining unbeaten on 35.
South Zone v East Zone
Resuming at 108-1, South Zone fell into trouble at the beginning as opener Anamul Haque was dismissed without adding any score to his overnight 59.
One-down Soumya Sarker (71) and wicket-keeper Mohammad Mithun (77) added 135 runs to resurrect the innings.
Part-time spinner Mosaddek Hossain broke the partnership by removing Mithun while part-time left-arm spinner Mominul Haque dismissed Soumya to bring their team back into the game.
Enamul began to display his mastery with flight and bounce to take the control of the innings before Sohag Gazi added a later impetus with his 64 from 55 balls which included five fours and four sixes.
East Zone batsmen regained their composure in the second innings as Shadman Islam remained unbeaten on 56 runs to help the side reach 138-1.
