Ramendu Majumdar, Masud Ali Khan conferred with lifetime achievement award
Seasoned actors Ramendu Majumdar and Masud Ali Khan received Life Time Achievement Awards at the Tenashinash Awards at the Manirul Islam Auditorium of Bangladesh Television on Friday.
Television Natya Shilpy o Nattyokar Sansad (Tenashinath) bestowed the awards to the artistes for their long standing contributions to the teleplays on Bangladesh Television in years 2009 to 2013.Hasanul Haque Inu, the information minister, who was present at the event as chief guest, handed the awards to the two veteran actors. Martuza Ahmed, secretary of information ministry, also attended the programme as special guest. Besides, Abdul Mannan, director general of BTV, delivered welcome speech at the ceremony.
The actors shared their gratitude for being conferred with the awards in their speech.
In other categories, Shahiduzzaman Selim and Shahidul Islam Sacchu have jointly received Best Actor award of 2009, while Tisha received Best Actress award of the same year.
The award giving ceremony presented awards in different categories to recipients for the years 2009-2013.
Popular actor Zahid Hasan and Nadia Ahmed received Best Actor and Best Actress awards respectively for the year 2010.
Whereas Chanchal Chowdhury and Afsan Ara Bindu bagged Best Actor and Best Actress awards for 2011 respectively.
The best actor and best actress awards for 2012 went to Mosharraf Karim and Farzana Akter Chhobi respectively.
Mir Sabbir won the Best Actor Award for 2013 while Golam Farida Chhanda received Best Actress award of the same year.
The awards were also given in categories including Best Playwright, Best Cinematographer, Best Producer, Best Make Up Artiste, Best Sound Designer, Best Art Director, Best Cultural Personality, and others.
The day’s programme also included an entertaining cultural programme.
