Bangladesh team physio Vibhab Singh informed the Bangladesh Cricket Board that he will leave after the end of his current tenure in July, said an official on Monday.
The decision of Vibhab will allow the BCB to have an entire new set-up in the Tigers dressing room with all support staff who were associated with the immediate past coach Shane Jurgensen now gone.
Jurgensen resigned in April and he was quickly followed by fitness trainer David Dwyer and fielding and batting coach Corey Richards.
The BCB has already replaced Jurgensen with Sri Lankan Chandika Hathurusinghe and appointed Zimbabwean Heath Streak as the bowling coach. Sri Lankan Maria Villavarayan has joined as new fitness trainer.
‘Vibhab sent us an e-mail today confirming his wish to leave,’ said BCB’s cricket operations chief Akram Khan.
‘He has recently married and his family is not allowing him to stay abroad on long-term basis,’ said Akram.
