Noted actress Richi Solaiman has passed a busy Eid-ul-Fitr festival as she anchored several television shows and also acted in a number of teleplays.
The talented actress will be seen today in a single episode teleplay titled Sundorer Kache at 11:00pm on GTV. The teleplay revolves around a couple that does not have any love left between them and are always fighting with each other. However, they have to keep up the appearance of peace for a few days as their former teacher pays them a visit and stays with them. The plot of the teleplay thickens as the teacher plays a vital role in restoring the harmony in their relationship.
‘The play, which is written by Shafikur Rahman Shantonu and directed by Chayanika Chowdhury, has a very touching story,’ said Richi to New Age about the teleplay which also stars Chanchal Chowdhury and Sharmila Ahmed.
Besides, Richi has acted in several other teleplays by renowned directors. ‘I feel really fortunate to have worked with directors like Mahfuz Ahmed, Imratul Arafat and others for this festival,’ said Richi , who also shared that she has worked in fewer teleplays than usual on this Eid as she has also anchored in about 10 different TV shows throughout the month of Ramadan.
‘Hosting gave me an opportunity to present myself completely in a different way than acting in teleplays,’ the actress shared.
‘The show Knorr Taste & Twist which was aired on Asian TV during Ramadan was particularly a memorable experience. It was a great pleasure to cook for my audiences. I personally like cooking for my friends and family members and I also learnt a lot from the show,’ shared the anchor.
Richi Solaiman has worked in more than 40 television serials and numerous number of single episodes including Abeg, Sonar Moyna Pakhi, Sukhtara, Fuska Bilash and others. She made her debut in big screen through acting in the film Nirab Prem directed by Shahnewaz Kakoli.
