A 15-member Bangladesh ODI squad, led by Mushfiqur Rahim, will leave Dhaka tonight for West Indies to play two Test matches along with three one-day internationals and a Twenty20 international match. Tigers will play their first two matches at the national stadium in Grenada on August 20 and 22 before moving to St Kitts for the third ODI. They will play the last ODI match and a Twenty20 international on August 25 and 27 respectively before playing a three-day warm-up match at the same venue.
The first Test will be held at Arnos Vale in St Vincent from September 5-9.
They will end the tour at St Lucia with the last Test match which is scheduled to be held from September 13-17 at Beausejour.
Tigers, who are having a bad year losing nine ODI matches in a row, are hoping to revive their performance in the West Indies tour.
They are gathering inspiration from their earlier tour in the Caribbean when they defeated West Indies to claim their first series win.
Though Sakib al Hasan, Tigers’ main contributor, will not be playing as he is serving a six-month ban, Bangladesh are still hopeful of playing competitive cricket.
