National cricketer Mushfiqur Rahim will start his rehabilitation after a week as an MRI test showed that the condition of his shoulder where he had an injury worsened, the Bangladesh Cricket Board physician said on Saturday. The MRI showed the injury in his shoulder had aggravated, Debashish Chowdhury told New Age on Saturday. ‘He will be rested for a week. We will then check the condition again to prepare his rehabilitation programme,’ Debashish said.
Mushfiq had his right shoulder hurt in a training session with his Dhaka Premier League side Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club at Mirpur on Thursday.
The wicketkeeper-batsman also had his right shoulder injured early last year in their Asia Cup match against India at Fatullah.
