Indian national cricket team arrives on June 7 to play three one-day internationals and a Test match against Bangladesh, announced Bangladesh Cricket Board on Monday. The series will start with the lone Test match to be played at Fatullah from June 10-14. Following the Test match, Tigers will lock-horn with the visitors for the three day-night ODIs–all at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
The ODI’s will be played respectively at June 18, 21 and 24. A reserve day had been allocated for each of those matches, considering the monsoon rain.
The series was thrown into uncertainty following some controversies in the recent World Cup after India beat Bangladesh 109 runs in quarter-final.
However, Bangladesh Cricket Board chief executive officer Nizamuddin Chowdhury said they had any never any doubt about the series going ahead as planned.
‘The series is the part of International Cricket Council’s Future Tour porgramme and we were always confident that it will take place as planned’ Chowdhury told New Age.
‘We are happy that India has confirmed the schedule now.’
