The dark cloud over the country’s hockey became darker as some leading hockey players remained their position firm on not to join the training camp for the upcoming South Asian Games until the Bangladesh Hockey Federation announces the inter-club players’ transfers date. On Wednesday, Pushkor Khisha MImo, one of the senior national team members read out a statement on behalf of the players where they demanded an immediate date for the transfer.
The players were supposed to join the residential training camp today at BKSP.
BHF failed to organise the top hockey league in the country since February 2014 with the dispute over transfer.
Four clubs including Mohammedan SC and Mariner Youngs Club have been boycotting the league under the current committee of the federation that they term illegal.
