Indian pace bowler Ashish Nehra said on Tuesday that he is lucky to have Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman in his side in the forthcoming edition of Indian Premier League.
Nehra, who will team up with Mustafiz in Sunrisers Hyderabad, praised the left-arm pacer for his god-gifted ability to bowl the slower balls in such a unique way that has already been troubling a lot of batsmen in the world.
Mustafiz returned to the playing XI of the Bangladesh team against Australia in the ongoing ICC World Twenty20 after recovering from his side strain.
Mustafiz showed his class in the match picking 2-30 and was unlucky not to get more as Mohammad Mithun dropped a simple catch of Shane Watson off his bowling.
Mustafiz came into limelight with his dream debut against the Indian in a three-match home series at Bangladesh taking 13 wickets in the series last year.
As a result he was included in the IPL by the Sunrisers being only the second cricketer from Bangladesh to get a chance in this edition of the cash-rich tournament.
‘I think in this format he had been in really good form,’ Nehra said in Bangalore.
‘And the slow balls that he gives are very god gifted. He got a very good action and I think he got a very good future prospect in one-day cricket and Twenty20 cricket,’ he said.
‘Good thing is that he will be in my team in IPL and it will definitely help me,’ said the Indian pacer.
The arrival of Mustafiz helped Bangladesh earn more respect from the opponents as he possess the ability to trouble any batting line-up with his slower and cutter balls.
According to many cricket analysts he is the find of 2015 as he kept on succeeding against most of his opponent batsmen.
