Kalabagan Krira Chakra skipper Mashrafee bin Murtaza said on Saturday that he did not eye any hundred even after reaching his fifty against Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club in the Dhaka Premier League on Saturday. Mashrafee made a blistering 104-run innings of just 51 balls and recorded the fastest hundred in list ‘A’ match in Bangladesh to guide Kalabagan to a 21-run win over Jamal.
Mashrafee reached 50 in 35 balls and become even more ruthless as the Tigers skipper needed just 15 more balls to score his first century of the tournament.
‘I did not think about the century [after reaching fifty],’ Mashrafee told reporters after the match.
‘I went up in the order to increase the run-rate.
‘Naturally, I am happy to score the century but more than that I am happy to contribute for the win.’
Mashrafee said that he is looking forward to take confidence from the win leaving behind their below-par performance in the league so far.
‘We have five matches left and I am looking forward to it.
‘I think we should have won at least one or two more matches but somehow we could not take up the challenge,’ said the inspirational skipper.
