Minhajul Abedin-led new selection committee of Bangladesh national cricket team will get a two-year contract from the Bangladesh Cricket Board, officials said Saturday.
BCB offered them the contract, which will be effective from July 1, and Minhajul and his other two colleagues, Habibul Bashar and Sazzad Ahmed agreed with the terms and condition of the contract after their meeting with BCB chief executive officer Nizamuddin Chowdhury.
‘We have discussed about our contract details and agreed with the terms and condition.
We will sign it tomorrow [Today],’ Bashar told New Age.
Former chief selector Faruk Ahmed resigned from his post last month protesting the two-tier selection policy.
Following his resignation BCB authorised a new three-member committee and Faruk’s colleague of the former committee Minhajul was selected as the new chief selector.
Bashar also featured Faruk’s committee.
