The Bangladesh Cricket Board is yet to get an appointment from professor Lennard Funk, shoulder surgery specialist in Manchester, for the assessment of pace bowler Mustafizur Rahman’s injury, said BCB official on Monday. Mustafiz, who met London-based shoulder specialist Tony Kocchar several twice, is trying to seek an appointment of Funk as BCB is looking for more expert opinion on his injury.
‘We are yet to get his appointment,’ said BCB physician Debashish Chowdhury.
‘Once we get the appointment, we will send Mustafiz to meet him in person and seek his opinion,’ he said.
Mustafiz was advised to undergo a surgery by Kocchar after his second arthrogram report reconfirmed a grade-2 tear in his shoulder.
