3. Mashrafee bin Murtaza became the third Bangladeshi cricketer to hit more than 50 sixes in one-day internationals when he cleared the boundaries thrice on Sunday. Mashrafee has now 52 sixes to his name, only behind Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim for Bangladesh. Tamim struck highest 64 sixes while Mushfiq hit 53 sixes. 4. Nasir Hossain was in selected in place of Mosharraf Hossain as the team management bowed to the public pressure for his inclusion. The huge outcry in social media may have given an impression that Nasir was left to carrying the towels for a long period. But the reality is that he missed just four ODIs – three against Afghanistan and one against England- since he last played against Zimbabwe in November 2015.
69. Mashrafee bin Murtaza and Nasir Hossain shared 69 runs for the eighth wicket to help Bangladesh past 200-run mark against England on Sunday. This is second highest eighth wicket partnership for Bangladesh in an ODI against any opposition. They nearly missed the record of Khaled Mashud and Mohammad Rafique, who put 70 in an unbroken partnership against New Zealand at Kimberley in World Cup 2003.
4009. Mushfiqur Rahim joined Tamim Iqbal and Sakib al Hasan in 4000-run club when he made 21 runs against England on Sunday. Mushfiq started the day 12 runs away from the milestone. Tamim is leading the chart with 4962 run while Sakib has 4652 runs.
