Heavy rain delayed the start of the third day’s play in the second Test between Bangladesh and Australia at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on Wednesday.
Bangladesh were hoping to make some early inroads after being denied by doggedness of David Warner and Peter Handscomb much of the second day.Warner and Handscomb shared an unbeaten partnership in the third wicket as Australia reached 225-2 at stumps, replying to Bangladesh’s first innings total of 305 runs.
Warner was on 88 with Handscomb on 69 as the visitors were trailing Bangladesh by 80 runs in their first innings.
Bangladesh were leading the two-match series after winnings the first Test by 20 runs in Dhaka.
