Left-handed batsman Nazmul Hossain Shanto will lead Bangladesh ‘A’ team against Ireland ‘A’ in an unofficial four-day Test match at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, scheduled to start from October 11.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board announced a 13-member squad on Wednesday for the four-day match before the Irish side was scheduled to arrive today to play the unofficial Test and five one-day matches against the hosts.
The selectors picked players like Nurul Hasan Shohan, Abu Hider, Kamrul Islam, Nurul Hasan and Jubaer Hossain who represented the senior team before in the four-day match.
There was, however, no room for some of the senior players, who shone in the ongoing National Cricket League.
The match will be followed by the five-match one-day series and all the matches will be played at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar from October 17.
Squad: Nazmul Hossain Shanto (Captain), Saif Hasan, Sadman Islam, Al-Amin, Zakir Hasan, Yasir Ali, Nurul Hasan, Sanjamul Islam, Nayeem Hasan, Ebadat Hossain, Abu Haider, Kamrul Islam, Jubaer Hossain.
