The government has announced a new schedule for conducting classes in educational institutions during the holy month of Ramadan.
The Secondary and Higher Education Division of the Ministry of Education today issued a notification in this regard signed by its Director General Professor Nehal Ahmed.
According to the notification, the govt asked educational institutions to conduct classes during the Ramadan following the new schedule in order to recover the learning losses incurred by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The notification stated that educational institutions that have one shift will conduct its classes from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm and those with two shifts institutions will conduct morning classes from 8:30 am to 11:10 am and conduct its day shift classes from 11:00 am to 2:10 pm.
In addition, four classes will be held per day for double-shift institutions while five classes will be held per day for single-shift institutions, it said.
The respective educational institutions will prepare their own routine in this regard, it added.
Earlier on March 28, the education ministry decided that all secondary schools and colleges will remain open till April 26 during the Ramadan.
