The manufacturer of women’s underwear Nova Intima signed a contract yesterday with the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (Bepza) to invest $28 million in the Mirsharai Bepza economic zone of Chattogram.
With this investment, 60 million units of underwear and related materials and accessories will be produced yearly, resulting in 5,625 Bangladeshi jobs.

Eleven companies, including Nova Intima, have so far signed agreements with BEPZA to establish industries in BEPZA EZ with an investment of $243.71 million in total, said the release.
Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, the executive chairman of BEPZA was present.
