Bangladesh national women’s team will be looking to move up in the order when they take on their Malaysian counterparts during their third match of the ongoing Women’s T20 Asia Cup at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium today.
The match is scheduled to start at 1:30pm and will be telecast live on Star Sports 1 HD.
Bangladesh, who began the tournament on a positive note after beating Thailand by nine wickets, lost to Pakistan by the same margin in their second game.
They are currently in fourth place in the seven-team points table with two points from the same number of matches and if they don’t want to complicate their semi-final chances, they must beat Malaysia today.
Bangladesh have previously faced Malaysia twice in WT20I format and on both occasions, they finished on the winning side.
The last time both sides faced each other was in January this year when Bangladesh beat Malaysia by eight wickets during a Commonwealth Games Qualifier match.
Meanwhile, Malaysia have lost all three matches in the tournament so far and their last defeat came against UAE on Wednesday.
