North South University’s department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has soared to new heights by making a splash in the prestigious NASA SPACE APPS CHALLENGES 2023.
This marks a watershed moment for NSU as the challenge is a globally recognised hackathon spearheaded by NASA itself, said a press release.
The team, aptly named #inception_Last_Hope, not only dominated the Bangladesh leg of the competition but also secured a coveted global nomination from NASA.
Adding another feather to NSU’s cap, a junior team named Plexus clinched the second Runner-up position in a separate category, outclassing 210 other teams from universities nationwide.
The awards ceremony, held on Saturday, was graced by the presence of education minister Dr Dipu Moni and James S Gardiner, environment, science, technology, and health officer of the US Embassy in Dhaka.
NSU has been a consistent player in national and international hackathons over the past few years, continually showcasing its prowess on the global stage, read the release.
