Cultural organisation Samageet Sangskriti Prangan performed at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok of Thailand on September 24 and 25 as part of its ‘Solidarity and Resistance Tour 2025’, said a press release.
Led by singer Amal Akash, six members of Samageet participated at the event marking 30 years of Focus on the Global South jointly organised by Focus on the Global South and Asian Music for Peoples’ Peace and Progress at the university. The event included a cultural dialogue, a conference and musical shows.
Samageet will also perform at the University of the Philippines Diliman in Quezon city of the Philippines on Monday.
It will also perform at an event titled ‘Culture of Solidarity and Resistance: Bangladesh and the July Uprising’ on September 30 at the KAL Theater Lobby of the university.
Samageet’s tour will be concluded on October 1 with an interview conducted by the official radio station of the University of the Philippines Diliman, said the release.
