Bangladesh A restricted English county side Hampshire to 223 in their first one-day match of the UK tour on Tuesday at the Rose Bowl in Southampton.
The second-string side, who won the toss and sent the opposition in, bundled out Hampshire in 49.1 overs as Rubel Hossain, Farhad Reza and Sohag Gazi all took two wickets each.
Liam Dawson scored a breezy 87-ball 97 for Hampshire before being dismissed by Mominul Haque’s left-arm spin.
National cricketers Robiul Islam and Elias Sunny were also among the wickets as both captured one wicket each.
Sohag was the most impressive bowler for the A side, picking up 2-31 in his 10 overs while Rubel conceded 40 runs for his two wickets in nine overs.
The Bangladesh A were 71-4 in 24 overs when this report was filed.
Anamul Haque (18), Imrul Kayes (6), Jahirul Islam (1) and Mominul (28) were
back in the hut as Naeem Islam (13) and Marshal Ayub (1) were the unbeaten batsmen at the crease.
The A side will next tackle Yorkshire on Friday at Headingley in the second one-day of five against English county opposition before facing the England Lions in a three-match one-day series.
