Former Pakistani pace bowler Aaqib Javed will arrive here on July 29 to conduct a one-week long camp of specialised pace bowlers, said Bangladesh Cricket Board officials on Saturday.
Aaqib will take over the camp from July 30, a day after its commencement.
‘He will stay here for a week,’ said a BCB official.BCB on July21 named 55 cricketers from four separate groups for an expanded programme of HP unit.
The cricketers include 23 batsmen, 16 pace bowlers, 12 spinners and four wicketkeepers. The 25 regular members of HP unit are also part of these specialised groups.
After the bowling camp is over, BCB HP unit is expected to have a conditioning stint in Cox’s Bazaar and later a similar camp for the spinner under the guidance of former Indian spinner Venkatpathy Raju is also expected.
