Reigning champions Abahani Limited made a flying start in the Premier Hockey League when they thrashed Bangladesh Railway 14-0 at the Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium on Thursday. Abahani, who started their season with the Club Cup Hockey title, went to the break with a 7-0 lead. Razib Das scored four goals for the Sky Blue outfit while Farhad Ahmed Shitul struck thrice.
Maksudul Alam Habul and Pakistani forward Shafqat Rasool scored a brace while his compatriot Mohammad Irfan and Kasif Ali and national midfielder Sheikh Mohammad Nannu scored one goal apiece to help the Dhanmondi-based outfit secure a dazzling win.
