Abahani Limited will take on Nepal A-Division League champions Manag Marshyangdi Club today in their third Group B match of the King’s Cup, hoping to keep their semi-final dream alive. The match will start at 7:00pm Bangladesh time at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu, Bhutan.
Abahani’s hope to reach the semi-finals received a huge blow after they conceded a shocking 1-0 defeat against Ugyen Academy in their second match on Tuesday.
Abahani, who earlier defeated Indian team Assam Electricity FC 1-0, are currently in fourth place of their group with three points.
Ugyen and MMC also have equal three points but they are ahead of the Sky-Blues by virtue of goal difference.
I-League club, Pune FC, are leading the table with six points.
Top two teams of the group will move to the semi-finals, which means if Abahani lose today, their hopes will be all but over.
