Customs officials recovered 217 bars of gold weighting 25.310 kilograms kept abandoned in a Bangladesh Biman aircraft at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Saturday.
‘We recovered the gold bars based on intelligence information,’ airport customs assistant commissioner Golam Mostafa Kamal told New Age.The customs, however, failed to arrest anyone in this connection.
He said that they searched and found the gold bars kept wrapped under a seat of the flight arrived from Kuwait at about 1:30pm.
