A two-member panel of the International Cricket Council’s Anti-Corruption and Security Unit is expected to leave today after completing their latest
investigations into alleged match-fixing in the
Bangladesh Premier League, said officials of the Bangladesh Cricket Board on Monday.
‘The ACSU officials are expected to leave tomorrow [Tuesday],’ Nizamuddin Chowdhury told reporters at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
‘They have probably completed their investigation required to complete the report that we expect to receive in August,’ said Nizamuddin.
It was learnt that the ACSU had quizzed former national spinner Mohammad Rafique, who was
also the bowling coach of Dhaka Gladiators, the team in question in the entire saga.
Despite several attempts, Rafique could not be reached as his mobile phone was switched off.
The officers are also expected to talk with the match officials of the reported games between Dhaka Gladiators against Chittagong Kings and Barisal Burners respectively.
