Pace bowler Al-Amin Hossain was fined Tk 2,000 on Saturday for arriving late in the ongoing conditioning camp of the Bangladesh national cricket team for their forthcoming home series against England.
The lanky paceman arrived two minutes after the scheduled time 8:00am and thus he was penalised.
It was known that the new system of financial penalty was introduced by the national skipper Mashrafee bin Murtaza.
Bangladesh’s 30-member preliminary camp is currently going through a conditioning camp under the supervision of Iftekhar Islam as foreign staff of national team is yet to arrive from their vacations.
‘I think this kind of fine only help the players to be more punctual with time,’ Iftekhar told New Age on Saturday.
The preliminary squad members resumed their training camp after a day’s break as they completed a two-day long fitness test from July20.
