He says ex-PM’s son masterminded to kill his mother
Prime Minister’s son Sajeeb Wazed Joy on Tuesday claimed that
Awami League will return to power through the next general election.
“I’ve information Awami League will come back to power… I’m here to face
BNP’s false propaganda,” he told a pre-ifatr discussion.Awami Jubo League arranged the programme at Bangabandhu Avenue in the city.
Joy, the only son of Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, called upon people to bring his mother’s party to power to give the country a facelift and turn it into a middle-income one.
Joy who lives in the United States is now in Dhaka along with his wife and daughter.
The PM’s son urged the AL men to project the misrule and corruption of the BNP-led government, and the successes of the current regime before people.
Referring to the August-21 grenade attack on an Awami League rally, Joy said, “We didn’t forget the August-21 grenade attack. Grenades were thrown targeting my mom…The plan for the attack was made at Hawa Bhaban. The then Prime Minister’s son had masterminded the plan to kill my mother.”
He also said the perpetrators of the August-21 must face trial.
