Former national skipper Aminul Islam Bulbul will be approached by the Bangladesh Cricket Board to take the role of the head coach of the BCB National Academy, said a top official on Tuesday.
Aminul is currently working as the development officer of the Asian Cricket Council in Malaysia and is all set to receive the proposal soon as the Academy is currently running without a head coach since October 2011.
‘We will approach Aminul for a three year contract for the post of the head coach of the Academy,’ AHM Mustafa Kamal told reporters on Tuesday.
‘We need someone immediately and he would be the appropriate choice as he had developed his cricketing knowledge by working with the ACC,’ said Kamal.
Earlier, Australian Ross Turner left the position in October 2011 due to health reasons after joining in April on the same year.
