Popular heroine of Kolkata film industry Ananya Chatterjee has shown her keen interest to perform in Dhaka’s movie. She told this the New Nation yesterday over mobile phone.
While talking in this regard Ananya Chatterjee said, “I have heared many stories of Dhaka’s movies. I have also seen few movies like ‘Lalon,’ ‘Monpura,’ etc. I was really attracted to watch those movies. I want to work in Dhaka’s movie. But there must have good story and renowned director because I am always very selective and choosy to work in movie. Then I will agree to work.”
While talking with her Ananya was engaged with her personal work in a hospital during that time. She assured this correspondent to talk again later.
It may be mentioned that Ananya Chatterjee received Best Actress Award in the Indian National Film Award to perform in late Rituparno Ghosh directed movie ‘Abohoman.’
Ananya Chatterjee, born on January 16, was brought up in Kolkata. Completed graduation and post-graduation degrees in Biology, Ananya was a student of Mamata Shankar Dance Institution. She firstly performed in play ‘Din Protidin’ against Rudranil Ghosh.
In fact, Ananya’s performance in serial ‘Subornolata,’ aired on Zee Bangla, was highly appreciated to all the viewers.
Ananya acted last movie was Kamaleshwar Mukherjee directed ‘Megh-e Dhaka Tara.’ She performed in role of Durga in this movie, which was impressed to the viewers. This movie was released this year.
Ananya Chatterjee acted other mentionable movies are: ‘Laptop,’ ‘Bhalo Meye Kharap Meye,’ ‘Iti Mrinalili,’ ‘Tin Konya’ and others.
