A college girl, who was injured in an attack allegedly by her lover on Sunday, died at a hospital here on Friday noon. The deceased was identified as Swarna, a first year student of Bangla Department of local Ananda Mohan College and daughter of Ataur Rahman of Hajibari area of the district town. Officer-in-charge of Kotwali Model Police Station Golam Sarwar said Swarna along with a boyfriend went to visit the Botanical Garden of Bangladesh Agricultural University on Sunday noon.
Learning of the visit, Swarna’s former lover Raju of Nandibari area of the town along with his associates attacked Swarna in the botanical garden, leaving her injured.
Critically injured Swarna was admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries on Friday noon, said the OC.
