President of Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh Prof Dr AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury on Thursday called upon Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to make an announcement in the Parliament by May 4 for restoration of the caretaker government system for two terms by utilizing her statesman-like leadership to
overcome the on-going political impasse. “Please give a declaration in Parliament on restoration of caretaker government system without further delay,” he made the urge while addressing a press conference at the National Press Club.
The former president said, the PM could resolve the ongoing political stalemate by only giving a declaration in Parliament that the next election will be held under a caretaker administration. Otherwise, an undemocratic or imposed government may grab power.
