The official logo of the Bangla Wash Twenty20 International tri-nation cricket series was unveiled in a ceremony held at a city hotel on Wednesday.
Bangladesh, Pakistan and hosts New Zealand will compete in the series to be held at Christchurch from October 7 to 14.
The title sponsor of the series Bangla Wash, a sister concern of the ANH Enterprise Limited, organised the ceremony as the logo was designed in Bangla font for the first time for an international cricket series.
The ceremony started with playing the national anthem and the remaining parts of the event, including Bangla Wash anthem sung by eminent singer Pantha Kanai, was celebrated and conducted in ‘Bangla.’
Bangladesh national cricket team selector Habibul Bashar, former captain Rakibul Hasan, Dhaka University professors’ Muhammad Abdul Moin, Muhammad A Momen and music composer Ripon Khan were present at the ceremony among others.
