Bangladesh secured 9th place in the ICC women’s team rankings, which was launched on Thursday. The rankings will incorporate results in all three formats of the game into one rankings system, said an ICC press release. Bangladesh scored 57 points while Australia scored 134 points to hold to top spot. England is on second position with 124 points followed by New Zealand (109), India (105), West Indies (99), South Africa (92), Pakistan (81), Sri Lanka (74), Bangladesh (57) and Ireland (26).
ICC will measure the rankings with the same methodology that is being used for the men’s rankings.
The ICC Women’s Team Rankings will be updated at the end of each series.
