Yasir Ali made unbeaten 101 as Bangladesh A team beat their Irish counterparts by 76 runs in their fifth and final one-day match to complete a 4-0 clean sweep in Cox’s Bazar on Thursday.
The first one-day was abandoned due to rain.
Batting first, Bangladesh ‘A’ racked up 286-6 in their stipulated 50 overs before dismissing the visitors for 210 runs in 43.4 overs with pacer Abu Hider doing most of the damage.
The hosts were 57-2 when they lost opener Anamul Haque (13) and skipper Nazmul Hossain (26).
Yasir joined Shadman Islam at the crease in the 15th over and added 132 runs for the third wicket before the latter was dismissed for 68 off 103 balls with one six and four fours.
Bangladesh scored 85 runs in the last five overs with Yasir leading the charge as his 102-ball unbeaten knock included five sixes and eight fours.
Barry McCarthy and Shane Getkate took two wickets each for Ireland.
Chasing, the visitors started poorly, losing Sean Terry and in-form Andrew Balbirnie with the score on 34-2.
Opener Jack Tector and John Anderson added 83 runs for the third wicket to bring them back into the game.
But from 117 for 2, Ireland A lost four wickets in the less than eight overs, before eventually being bowled out with more than six overs to spare.
Tector top scored with 66 off 80 balls including 10 boundaries while Anderson made 45 off 57 balls.
For Bangladesh Abu Hider finished with 3-38 while Imran Ali and Sanjamul Islam grabbed two wickets each.
Bangladesh A all-rounder Tanvir Haider was adjudged player-of-the-series for his consistent performance.
