Bangladesh Cricket Board will receive $100,000 from the ICC World Test Championship, the smallest fraction of a total prize purse of $3.8 million, alongside New Zealand, Pakistan and West Indies.
Bangladesh finished in ninth position among nine teams in the Championship, the final of which will be played at The Oval, London from 7 to 11 June between India and Australia.
The World Test Championship winners will take home a purse of $1.6 million. The losing finalists will pocket $800,000.
The tournament prize money is the same as that for the inaugural edition of the championship – ICC World Test Championship 2019-21.
