Touring Bangladesh A team were bundled out cheaply for 145 runs in 42.1 overs against Pakistan A team in the inaugural match of the Tri-Nation Tournament at
the Haslegrave ground in Loughborough in England on Monday.
Sent into bat first, Bangladesh faced an initial batting collapse losing seven wickets for 79 runs in 27.6 overs.
However, the youth Tigers managed to bring the score to a saving position from an awkward situation thanks to Nazmul Hossain Shanta.
Number seven batsman Nazmul Hossain contributed the team highest 30 runs off 63 balls hitting one boundary while the team’s 2nd highest 29 runs came from extras.
Besides, Rifat Pradhan (20), Jashimuddin (17), Shahriar Sumon (13), Sadman Islam (13) Mustafizur Rahman (11), Mosaddek Hossain (10) were the other notable scorers for Bangladesh.
Hussain Talat and Mohammad Aftab grabbed two wickets each conceding 13 and 30 runs respectively.
